The youngest of seven children, she was their only daughter. After moving to the Richmond, MI area for a few years, Jennie's family moved back to Detroit where she attended St Francis D'Assi school for elementary education, then Chadsey High School until her graduation in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart Eugene on July 01, 1950. After working in accounting at Revere Copper and Brass in Detroit, then processing payroll at the Edward C. Levy Company while her husband served in Korea, Jennie turned her focus to purchasing and settling into their own home and starting a family. An excellent mother and homemaker, Jennie was the consummate cook, preparing meals for her family, and hosting the holiday parties, complete with elaborate feasts. Sewing clothing, draperies, interior decorating, baking, cake decorating, canning foods, playing the piano, hair dressing, and reading were some of her hobbies. After her daughters were married, she took a position managing the K-Ann Jewelry store in Dearborn Hgts., MI for a number of years. Jennie enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and shopping, but especially watching her grandchildren grow. She gave so much of herself and time to them, showing them and letting them know how important they were in her life. A devoted daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend, Jennie always made time to look after and take care of those that required assistance.“Too busy” was never in her vocabulary. She lived a very full life, and she dearly loved her furry companion Ginger who had remained at her side for 17 years. Jennie passed peacefully in her home while sleeping after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She slipped away from this world wrapped in the arms of her own dedicated daughter Sheila who she relied on, and who remained her full time caretaker for 10 years. At her side was her beloved son-in-law Mark, and her caring grandchildren Kurt and Sara.
