Jean Adams Radway passed away on September 14, 2023 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Born to the late C. Frances Adams and the late Thelma R. Adams on February 20, 1936. She was preceded in death by her late husband Robert V. Radway and is survived by her two sons James (Dianne) & John (Lisa) and her grandson Carl. She is also survived by her brother Gary (Janet) and nieces Judy and Jean & her nephew John. Jean lived in Livonia, Michigan most of her life where she raised her family but relocated to Virginia 8 years ago out of necessity to live with her son John & his wife Lisa. We are grateful for our time with her. Her interests included sewing (curtains, costumes, garments, and quilting squares) & was a member of the American Sewing Guild and a sewing club in Livonia. She also enjoyed solving sudoku, word search puzzles and eagerly tuning into her favorite game show Wheel of Fortune. In earlier days, Jean also enjoyed watching, identifying, and feeding birds and tending to a small garden. She would go on senior bus trips with her husband and sometimes her son Jim would join. The last few years were spent in the kind, compassionate care of Dominion Village caregivers and the dedicated hospice nurses that both tended her wounds and needs. She was a sweet lady, offering smiles to her caregivers and grandson when he visited. Although we mourn Jean‘s passing, let us also celebrate the life she led and the impact she had on those around her. Her memory will remain etched in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace. A memorial visitation will be held at RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2 to 5 pm. A memorial service will take place at 4pm.
