BOETTNER, Janina Maxine (Lewandowski - Lau) . Of Dearborn, MI, (formerly of Cudahy, WI). Age 89. Feb. 2, 2007. Janina was a kindergarten teacher, a registered Occupational Therapist, and was known for her hand made hats, love of teaching, passion for languages and love of life. Predeceased by loving husband George H. Boettner, Jr., first husband Wilbur H. Lau, father Adam Lewandowski, and mother Stella Abramski. Survived by cousins Bernadette Foote of Oxford, WI; Daisy Poppe of Cudahy, WI; Eric Tyczkowski of Milwaukee, WI; Natalie Tucholka of Milwaukee, WI. Also survived by three step children: Rosanne (Charlie) Kiczek of Gray, GA; Mary (Fred) Zampa of Macon, GA; and George "Jeff" H., III (Cynthia) Boettner of Shelburne Falls, MA. Visitation hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 8th, 2007 from 1-4 p.m. at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Road, in Garden City, MI with a short service at 4 pm. Janina will be buried at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy, WI. The family requests that in lieu of flowers you share your talents by teaching a child and/or send memorial donations to the Environmental Interpretive Center at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
