Janice Finnerty Tobias

Janice Finnerty Tobias of Commerce Township, MI, Age 88, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on December 4, 2023, while her daughters were by her side.

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 23 years, Robert Finnerty and husband of 10 years, Jack Tobias. She was the loving mother of Joyce (Darryl) Heine, Jeanie (Jack) Coull and Carolynn (Nick) Kassis, dear “granny” of the late Julie, Matt (Kim), Melissa (Bodie), Joseph, Jarrod and Jordan (Paige), and “GG” of Julia & Rosie. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Claribelle Gallop, her sister Treva Finnerty, and brothers Norice Gallop and Wayne Gallop. She will be missed by many dear nieces and nephews.

Janice’s love of God and strong faith made her a blessing to others.  Her last six months were spent in the kind & compassionate care of Pleasantry Senior Living where she brought smiles and laughter to her caregivers and hospice team, never losing her sassy wit.  Though we all will miss her greatly, we rejoice that her suffering is over and Heaven is her home.

A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4 – 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
