James Floyd Reinhart

James (Jim) Reinhart, beloved father and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving children after a courageous battle with many health issues. He was 74 years old.

Jim was born on July 29, 1949, to the late Jason and Geraldine Reinhart. He was their only child. He worked for over 40 years at Detroit Diesel, exemplifying hard work and dedication.

Jim's kind heart and gentle spirit touched many lives. He was known for his unwavering kindness, infectious smile, and the ability to make anyone feel welcome. Jim had a remarkable way of finding joy in life's simple pleasures and cherished every moment spent with his family. His children were his pride and joy, and he never missed a sporting event, whether it was his son's hockey games or his daughter's figure skating competitions. His unwavering support and love were constants in their lives.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jason and Geraldine Reinhart. He is survived by his son Brett Reinhart, his daughter Krista (Reinhart) Hebda and her husband Justin, and his three grandchildren, Liliana, Anthony, and Melania. He is also survived by Nancy, the loving mother of his children.

A celebration of his life will be held later this summer or early fall. Details will be provided at a later date. In place of flowers, donations may be made in his name to a charity of your choice.

Jim's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
