James May "Jimmy the Irish Plumber", of Livonia, age 78. Died peacefully on March 23, 2021. Loving father of Michele (Michael) Abele, Kathie (Jeff) Henry and Jamey (Diana King) Maye. Longtime companion of Patricia Dillon-Quinn. Dear grandfather of Mackenzie, Samantha, Jonathan and Courtney, Patrick, Sean and Madailin, Shanidiin and Seamus. Former husband of Ruth Maye and brother of Johnny (Donna) Maye. Jimmy was a licensed Master Plumbing Contractor and established and owned Jim the Irish Plumber until his retirement. He immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland in 1960. Jim was an avid athlete and played gaelic football, hurling, soccer, hockey and he was a ceili dancer. He was a coach and mentor to everyone he met and loved to provide his wisdom and advice. Visitation at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 4 - 8 PM with a Rosary Service (time to be determined). Instate at St. Aidan Church, 17500 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Friday, March 26, 2021 from 11 AM until a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM.
