James L. Hawk

James L. Hawk of Livonia (formerly East Tawas), Age 70. went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2022. Loving father of Laura (Darren) Nowak. Dear grandfather of Griffin. Brother of Janet (Jack) Macuga, Thomas (Jodi) Hawk and the late Bryce Hawk. Dear friend and ex-husband of Constance Hawk. James is also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends. James was a licensed Pilot at the age of 16 and worked for many years as a Pilot. He loved planes & cars. He retired as a body shop manager. James served in the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, Army Reserves and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary He loved the Lord and his church family. James was a Mentor for At-Risk Youth in East Tawas and a motivational speaker for those with Mental Health issues. He was very proud to have published an autobiography that detailed his own struggles and successes with Mental Health. He was a friend to all and nothing made his day like a friendly conversation.
