James M. Hackney, age 91, June 14, 2023, of Southfield. Beloved husband of Donna. Loving father of Diane Walton, Joy (Mike) Wendt, JoAnne Mills, Kathy (Steve) Schaefer, Steve (Donna) Hackney, Dennis (Rita) Hackney, Don (Judy) Walton, Brad (Julie) Walton and preceded in death by Karen Garrett. Dear grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 37 and great-great grandfather of 1. Jim always took care of his family. He was a hard working man, owning his own landscape business. He was know for his generous acts of service to others. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10 - 11AM at Highland Park Baptist Church, Southfield. Funeral Service Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00AM. His family suggests donations to Highland Park Baptist Church Mission Fund.
