Jacqueline “Jackie” Dorthea Heppner (Horner) passed peacefully on the morning of Saturday December 30, 2023, surrounded by her family at the age of eighty-eight.
Jackie was born August 29th, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Dorothy and Joseph Horner.
Jackie was a master with her beautiful cross stitching. She expressed her love through the intricate art, creating a tapestry of memories that will forever adorn her families’ homes.
Summer parties were an annual highlight which corresponded with her birthday celebration. This August we celebrated Jackie going into her 89th year of life.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Joseph Horner, husband Robert Heppner, brother Ray Horner, brother-in-law Tom Hadjis, nephew Joseph Hadjis, stepson John Heppner, stepson Jeff Heppner, and granddaughter Taylor Dalian.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Michelle (Robert) Jolly, Russell (Patricia) Carlson, Kimberly (Daniel) Burke, Robin (Joseph) Roos, Sandi (James) Brzezinski, her siblings: Barbara Hadjis, Robert (Karen) Horner, Daniel (Judy) Horner, her grandchildren: Nicholas (Jaclyn) Gureghian, Stephanie (Kirk) Cleland, Lindsay (Kevin) Burgess, Breanne (Michael) Failor, Danielle (Alfred Coumine) Gureghian, Amanda (Sean) Olson, Heather (Matt) Lewis, Kyle (Autumn) Heppner, Cathryn (Luke) Begin, Alexander (Rebecca) Carlson, Patrick Hicks, Jonathan (Dakota) Roos, Eric (Kate) Heppner, Jordan Dalian, Sarah Averbeck, Jimmy Jr. Brzezinski, Jessica (Ronnie Gabrail) Brzezinski, Samantha (Rob Tocco) Brzezinski, her great grandchildren (known to them as GG): Tyler, Jackson, Owen, Megan, Nolan, Luke, Josephine, Joseph, Maria, Dominic, Vivien, Sydney, Kasey, Clay, Sophia, Audrey, Sawyer, Dax, Elliot, Joshua, Jacob, Alexis, Jacob, Jayce, Remi, Jaxon, Laynie, Isabella, Annabella, soon to be Henley Renee, and many nieces, nephews and friends. And finally, her dog, Becca, who was a loyal friend and a constant source of comfort and joy.
A celebration of life will be held on April 27, 2024 at the Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church, 9601 Hubbard St., Livonia, at 11:30 AM with visitation starting at 11:00 AM. We invite friends and family to join us in honoring the blessed life of Jackie Heppner. May she rest in peace, knowing that her love will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Jackie's memory.
