Harold C. Burgert, age 92, April 7, 2017. Loving father of Hal, Karen (Bill) Schebel and Susan (Brian Kelly) Henderson. Dear grandfather of Laurie (Matt), Todd, Shawn (Carrie), Jennifer and Michael; great grandfather of 5. Also survived by his sister Barbara, and six nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his wife C. Audrey Burgert. He was a member of the American Legion and service proudly in the Coast Guard during WW II aboard the USS Merrill. Harold was discharged as a Quartermaster 1st Class. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Visitation Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. American Legion Service Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. His family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
