Gregory Wayne Davis

On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, Gregory W Davis, loving husband of Laurie Davis, Passed away at the age of 67. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Richard. He is survived by his wife Laurie, eight children : Aaron Davis, Jodi(Jim) Davenport, Derrick Davis, Mandi(Mark) Otis, Jacob Davis, Joelle(Mario) Perez, Jamie(John) Crum and Jennifer(Dan) Block 28 grandchildren: Jessica, Kyle, Jonathan, Brayden, McKenzie, Richard, Aliana, McKenna, Kennedy, Kiely, Ellisia, Addisyn, Kelsey, Danika, Lakynn, Lucas, Noah, Keigan, Corbin, Evelyn, Oakley, Eli, Conor, Olivia, Varek, Logan, Hudson, and Evalina; Mother Valerie Davis; B rother Jeffrey(Laura) Davis, Sister Debra (Mike) Jordan and several nieces and nephews. Greg went by many nicknames, some of these were Ole - Man, Dad, Daddy, Pops, Papa, Grandpa, and Uncle Greg. His most treasured pastime was spending time with family, while frequently reciting his famous life lessons: “Time heals all wounds”, “Mind over matter”, “Things only bother you as much as you allow them to ”, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life”,“Always be aware of your surroundings” , “Talk less, eat more”, along with many others. He enjoyed working on cars, riding his motorcycle, and had a knack for tinkering around with and fixing things. He loved camping with family,playing with his grandkids, and always welcomed drop - in visits . To know him was to love him. He was exceptionally selfless and would drop anything to help anyone in need. He was a larger than life person to all who knew him, leading his whole life with his heart instead of his head. During difficult moments in his children’s lives, he often said, “The only thing I cannot fix is a broken heart” and he has left so very many behind...
