Gilda Jo Webb-Cerrito

Gilda Jo Webb-Cerrito, 90, of Fredericksburg passed away on July 6, 2023, at Poet’s Walk surrounded by her loving family.

Gilda was a very caring person who had a beautiful soprano singing voice. She was offered a full scholarship to a music academy but chose instead to stay home and raise a family. Gilda had a smile that lit up a room, which she used often. She loved walking in the woods or on a shell covered beach and mountain views brought her great joy. Gilda was an avid reader and enjoyed scenic car rides. She also enjoyed golf with her beloved husband Tony while living in Michigan, where they raised their family, and later in Myrtle Beach SC where they retired in 1986.

Gilda treasured her family above all else and sacrificed much for them over the years. She extended a hand in friendship to everyone she met.

Gilda is survived by her sons, Anthony Cerrito Jr. (Melissa), Michael Cerrito, Steven Cerrito; daughter Gina Clinthorne (David); adoring grandchildren Graham Clinthorne (Megan); two beautiful great-granddaughters Charlotte and Victoria Clinthorne; Evan Clinthorne, his wife Kira; Michael Cerrito Jr, Casey Cerrito and Cara Cerrito

Gilda was preceded in death by her parents William “Earl” Webb and Blanch Mathews-Webb; beloved sisters Earlene Abed, Iris Glebe, Helen Ford and Patricia “Pat” Ford; and her much beloved brothers-in-law Tony Abed, Walter Glebe, Alec Ford and Clarence “Chico” Ford.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 4, 2023, from 2-7 pm at RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia.

A Celebration of Life will be held at RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 9:30 am. followed by a graveside Committal service at Riverside Cemetery.
