Gerald "Jerry" Weichbrodt

Gerald G. "Jerry" Weichbrodt Age 50, July 10, 2013 of Livonia. Jerry died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Mary Beth. Dear father of Ian. Loving son of G. Grant and Jane. Dear brother of Judy (Mike) Kriz. Many other family members and dear friends. Although blind from infancy, Jerry enjoyed life to the fullest, earning a Master's Degree in Engineering, being an assistive technology guru, picking up and mastering the bagpipes at the age of 40, singing in his church choir and putting his faith in action on a daily basis by helping everyone he could. Jerry was an inspiration to many throughout his life. Jerry was an engineer with General Motors his entire career. Visitation Sunday 2-9 PM at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Rosary 7 PM Sunday. Visitation Monday 9 AM until time of Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Rd., Livonia.
