George Alex Tamas Ii

April 28, 1964 — February 29, 2016

George Alex Tamas, Age 51, passed away February 29, 2016 at his home in Allen Park, Michigan, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Micki, his brother John, 3 children; Kevin (Tricia), Jay (Melissa) and Barbara. He also is survived by 6 grandchildren; Ethan, Jacob, Josh, Amelia, Levi and Destiny, along with 2 nephews; Johnny and Mark. There was a lot that most people didn't know about George. George was a man that was loved by many and touched everyone's life at some point. He was a man that never stopped. He continuously worked to make sure his family was taken care of. He loved spending time restoring cars, whether they were his or someone else's. George was also one heck of a handyman, whether it was fixing a faucet or rehabbing a house, George could do it. Also, George loved his trips to the Casino with the love of his life, Micki. For those of you who thought George was nothing but a big tough guy, what you didn't know was that he loved his cartoons, his dog, Java, and messing around with his grandkids. He played video games like a teenager, and he loved Christmas more than a four year old. George was a true man who will be forever missed by everyone and will forever be in our hearts. We love you George! Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City, MI. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-9 pm and Thursday from 1-8 pm. Please share a memory of George with his family by signing his guestbook. Funeral Home: R.G. & G.R.
