Gene H. Walker

Eugene H. Walker of Plymouth was called to his heavenly home on July 28, 2018. Gene was born to James and Rosemary Walker on November 20, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. His family would later move to Livonia, Michigan where Gene attended Stevenson High School and Ferris State College. He would spend most of his career at Detroit Diesel where he started as a lab technician in the test cells and retired as National Account Executive in 2013. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Michelle; children, Ryan and his wife Selina, Katie and her husband Ryan Guenthner, Beckie and her husband Matt Makowski; granddaughters, Grace, Delaney, Ellie, Julia, Taytum, Norah and Paige; sister, Pamela Krueger and half brother Tom Walker and his wife Bev. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale. Papa will be greatly missed by his family and friends. You are forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Livonia, Michigan, Wednesday August 1, 2018 at 11 AM with a visitation with the family beginning at 10 AM.
