Gay Elaine Roberts Age 74 On Thursday October 6th, 2016, after a long battle with COPD, Gay Elaine Roberts, age 74, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Roberts, who was her partner in life, love, traveling, and camping for 16 years. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Garon, and her great-grandson, Donald James Drogowski. Beloved sister of Sharon (Jim) McIntyre. Loving mother of Gerald (Michele) Brauer, Lori (Don) Drogowski, and Sheri (John) Sauer. Loving step-mother of Ricky Roberts and Tommy Garon. She is also survived by her ex-husband: Gerald L. Brauer; her nephew: Jim McIntyre; her grandchildren: Donald, Melinda, Julie, J.J., James, Valerie, and Logan; and her great-grandchildren: Sadie, Rhys, Caleb, Bryan, Andrea, Ethan, Bella, Nolan, and Gia. She enjoyed cross-stitching, piecing puzzles, word-games, knitting, reading, watching mysteries, and going, going, going. Her endless energy allowed her to hold many roles including restaurateur and square dancer. Gay was a passionate lover of life who cherished her family, her church, her friends, her cabin on Loon Lake, and her beloved dogs, Rusty and Tessa. She wanted her family always to remember to have faith in God. Visitation at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City, MI, Tuesday October 11th from 1-8pm. Funeral Service at Warren Road Light and Life Church, 33445 Warren Rd., Westland, MI, Wednesday October 12th, Open viewing 10am, Funeral Service 11am.
