Frederick James Carmichael

Carmichael, Frederick, Age 90, passed away March 5, 2014. Son of the late John and Jean. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary. Loving father of Carol (Jim) Bentley, Ellen (Jerry) Pellerito, Fred (Debbie) Carmichael, Leanne (Steve) Cain, Tim (Mary Ann) Carmichael and Lynda (Tim) Thull. Dear grandfather of James Paul Bentley, Vanessa (Dave) Mallo, Nicholas (Lisa) Carmichael, James (Kate) Bentley, Lauren (Jason) Newman, Kelly (Johnathan) Sesi, Stephen Bentley, Lindsey (Marc) Losiewicz, Adam Cain, Eric (Rachael) Carmichael, Jordan Cain, John Knaffla, Rachel (Andy) Mastay and Tyler Thull. Loving great -grandfather of 10. Brother of the late Paul Carmichael, John Carmichael and Margaret Damitio. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Fred loved his country and was a proud World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his bottomless love for his family and country, his love of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings came in at a close third. He retired from Chatham Super Market after many years of employment. Everyone that had the wonderful privilege of Fred touching their lives, will attest to his deep faith in God, his wonderful smile and his conversations that brought a smile to your face and to your heart. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. But his memory will always remain. Visitation will be held at Wasik Funeral Home 11470 Thirteen Mile Road, Warren MI on Sunday from 4-9 p.m. with a Divine Mercy Chaplet at 7 p.m. and visitation Monday, from 1-9 p.m. and Rosary at 7 p.m., Instate, Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Rd., Warren MI until the time of Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, MI.
