Forrest Alan Geary “Forry” Livonia - Age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18th, 2020 at Angela Hospice Care Center. Forrest was born in Niles, Michigan on January 7, 1942. He was a graduate of Niles High School in Niles, Michigan. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Michigan State University and taught Physical Education in Farmington and was a golf professional at Oasis Golf Center. Forrest also loved being a football coach and basketball coach for many years in Farmington. He was very faithful and dedicated to everyone in his life. His children and grandchildren called him an energizer who exudes the kind of enthusiasm in everything he did beyond anyone’s expectations. His happiness and laughter were contagious to all who encountered him. Many of his students, athletes, golf clients, golf partners, coworkers and friends shared how Forrest was the most patient and kind guy with the biggest smile in the entire world. They also mentioned that he would be the only one who had the ability to get them into a positive mindset to accomplish any of their goals. Forrest married his sweetheart and best friend Joanie Eleanor Geary (Pfefferle) of 63 years on May 2, 1964 who predeceased him one month to the day before his passing. Forrest is also predeceased by his parents Carlton (Florence) Geary and Paul (Beatrice) Pfefferle. Forrest is forever cherished and survived by his loyal and loving children Greg (Vicki) Geary and Tracy (Scott) Mastenbrook; two “forever in admiration of their Papa” grandchildren: Madelyn and Meghan Mastenbrook; his brother Jack (Elain and the late Isabelle) Geary; sister Jean (the late Wayne) Yost; sister Phyllis (Robert) Klingenfus; sister Linnea (the late Larry) McNeese; sister Carol (DeWayne) Pletcher; many devoted nieces, nephews, extended family/friends and faithful canine companion Maizee. He will join his beloved wife during an outdoor memorial ceremony at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia-led by Pastor Todd Lipa.
