Everett George Alger, 85, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Everett was born in Youngstown, Ohio, the eldest of two children of Everett and Margaret Alger. Everett enjoyed his childhood growing up with his sister, Faye. The family then moved to Allen Park, Michigan when Everett was a young child. After graduating from high school, Everett began his career as a Truck Driver for about thirty years and then worked another ten plus years in the Maintenance Department, working a total of forty-one years for Ford Motor Company. In 1962, he married Maxine (West) and began their long life together. In the early years of their life together, they had three children, Everett, Kimberly, and Kevin. Everett enjoyed spending his time with his wife, family and friends, working on cars, wood working and enjoying their beautiful home on the lake in his retired years. Everett is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Maxine Alger (West), Cherished Son Everett Jr. and his wife Deborah, granddaughter Victoria and grandson Christopher; daughter Kimberly; son Kevin and his wife Lisa, three grandsons, Alexander, Austin, Adam; Everett was also blessed to have three children from a previous marriage daughter Margaret(Dale) Ihrig, son, the late Michael, daughter, the late Susan Ihrig and grandsons Nicholas and Kevin, and grandson Dale (Ihrig) Jr. Everett will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens in a private family Ceremony.
