Eva Mae Crawford was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was born July 11th, 1936 in Continental, Ohio to Walter and Eva Shank. Eva had 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sisters: Betty Lou Joy and Mildred Kistner, and three brothers: Gene Shank, Jay Shank, and Walter Shank. She was married to Duane Crawford for 50 years who proceeded her in death in 2007. They lived in Toledo, Ohio in their early years of marriage, then moved to Rockwood, Michigan where they lived for 32 years. They eventually bought a second home in Malinta, Ohio where they made many wonderful memories. Eva was a beloved mother to Eric Crawford, Angela Guskovict (Bobby), Matthew Crawford (Kelsey) and Amanda Sprenger. She was preceded in death by her eldest son Douglas Duane in 2000. She was a loving grandmother to Valerie Hood (Andrew), Kevin Crawford, Brice and Blake Guskovict, and a loving great-grandmother to Lillian and Lorelei Hood. Eva was a fun and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her favorite thing was visiting with family and loved ones. She listened to Rush Limbaugh every day and enjoyed watching game shows and westerns such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke and The Virginian. Eva had a very generous heart and was a proud contributor to many charities such as St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Disabled Veterans and Fallen Soldiers. She loved to cook giant Sunday dinners. Some of her most popular dishes were meatloaf, pork chops, roasted chicken, noodles, and she was famous for the best deviled eggs in town! Eva loved purple flowers and lilacs were her favorite. She loved old hymns and enjoyed playing them on her keyboard organ. She loved going out to eat with her family whether for Chinese food or visiting the nearest Big Boy. Eva loved discussing politics and was very passionate in the art of communication. Eva entered into Heaven on July 25th, 2021. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 28th from 3:00-6:30 pm at Northville Christian Assembly (41355 Six Mile Rd. Northville, MI 48168), with Memorial Service beginning at 6:30 pm. On Thursday, July 29th Internment will begin at 11:00 am at Hockman Cemetery in McClure Ohio with the procession departing from Rodenberger Funeral Home (310 Frank St McClure, OH 43534) at approximately 10:40 am.
