Ernest Joseph Josefosky of Garden City passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at the age of 90. Ernest was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 16, 1931. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Chrysler for 40 years in Detroit as a die-model designer. Ernest will be remembered for his kind heart and dependable commitment to his family. He enjoyed the outdoors; camping, fishing, and canoeing. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Josefosky. Loving father of Jeff (Nadya), Jim (Terry), Peggy, Tom (Meghan), and Glenn (Karen). Ernest is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren: Julie, Amalia, Ansel, Jay, Cecilia, Jake, Mackenzie, Emma, Annabelle, Jennifer, April, Éléonore, Joel, Cohen, Andrew, Audrey, Ari, Allyse, and Alex. Ernest is also survived by his brother Kenny and many nieces and nephews, as well as step-children Karen (the late Gary) Wolvin, Charles (Cynthia) New, Katie (Dale) Maschke, Kevin Mackenzie, the late Melissa Mackenzie and John (Laura) Mackenzie. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 2-7pm at the RG & GR Harris Funeral Home 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City. Funeral service Friday, January 21, 2022 at 1pm (instate at 12pm) at the funeral home. Due to the pandemic, the family has chosen to have a celebration of life gathering at a later date.
