ERIC JAMES HILDEBRANDT 47 years old. June 2, 2005 Beloved husband of Merrill for 25 years. Devoted father of Michael & Mitchell. Died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Son of James and Barbara Hildebrandt, brother of Stephen, Charles (Terrie), Christian (Ilona), Kurt (Lisa), John (Melanie)and Carol Holmes. Dearest nephew of Albert P. Herzog, Jr. (Terri) and the late Betty O’Brien. Cherished cousin of fourteen. Dear son-in-law of Edward M. Ballantyne. Loving uncle of fifteen nephews and nieces. Eric loved to watch his sons play Soccer and at one time played softball himself.He also was a big fan of the Dolphins football team. The entire Hildebrandt family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the St. Johns Hospice team; Dora, Jamie, Kimber and Kim. Eric defined himself as a caring family man and beloved brother, husband, cousin and friend to many. Eric’s legacy will live through his wife and two sons for eternity. Visitation Sunday 2-7 PM at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd. Livonia, with a prayer service at 6 PM. Funeral service will be Monday 10:00 AM.
