Elda Juengel, of Farmington Hills, Michigan passed away on August 11, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born on March 4, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Walter and Eldalene Green and stepdaughter of Frank Sweeney. Elda graduated from Western High School, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1982. Elda was married to Reynold Juengel in 1949. She is survived by her husband, their children Diane Green (Gary Roach), Janet (Dennis) Nordmoe, Christin Fernandez, and Cheryl (Aneil) Shah, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother Stewart Green, and grandson Joel Nordmoe. Elda loved music, flowers, and reading and was always interested in learning about any subject. She enjoyed photography, was an award-winning bowler, and a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. She was very happy to have traveled to Israel, then Greece, with church tour groups. Her trip to Israel even included a ride on a camel. Elda worked at Michigan Bell Telephone Company, Sears, and Livonia Public Libraries, and held a wide variety of volunteer roles over the years including Girl Scout leader, hospital aide, and Ladies' Altar Guild. Above all, she loved her family. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 20 at 12:00, at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 14175 Farmington Rd., Livonia with visitation starting at 11:00.
