Edward Borawski, 95, entered eternal life on 21, June, 2014 at Waltonwood Senior Living in Canton Michigan. He was born on July, 8, 1918 in Hamtramck, Michigan to John and Veronica (Mieczkowski) Borawski Ed grew up during the Great Depression, served in the 186th Infantry during World War II and returned to marry the love of his life - Anna Armbruster in 1947. They enjoyed 62 years of married life. Ed was a devoted family man and loving father to his three children, their spouses, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family remembers his garden and manicured lawn, his grace on the dance floor, (He danced a beautiful waltz and an impressive polka) and his enjoyment of playing cards. It was his smile, his laugh, and his dry wit that will be missed the most. Ed retired from Livonia Public Schools in 1980. Ed's life was well, and long lived, in service to his country, family, community and anyone in need. Ed was preceded into eternal life by his parents John and Veronica Borawski, brothers Frank, Alec, Stanley, John, Tony, Walter, his beloved wife Anna and their daughter Julie (Borawski) Flahan. Ed is survived by brother Leonard, his daughter Kathleen (Tim) Rice of South Lyon, MI; his son Paul (Judy) Borawski of Sturgeon Bay, WI; his grandchildren Jodi, David, Dawn, Christina, Kathryn, Joseph, and John; his great-grandchildren Kaylee, Brendan, and Lauren. The Memorial Service and burial will be held in the chapel of Glen Eden Memorial Park, 35667 W 8 Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan at 11:00 am on Saturday June 28th, 2014. A celebration of Ed's life will follow.
