Edna Baker

Edna Baker nee Schafer born on March 6, 1930 in Avon Township, Michigan. Edna passed away peacefully on July 9, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Merle Baker. Cherished mother of Edward Baker, Nancy (Roy) Petrie. Grandmother and forever friend of Sara Clapper. Loving sister of Rev Edward (Judy) Schafer of Florida, the late Irene Holbrook, Theresa Vestevich and Bill Schafer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Edna lived in Highland Park, Livonia, Sterling Heights, and Dearborn Heights. She attended Highland Park Baptist Church, Trinity Baptist Church, Ward Presbyterian, Memorial Baptist Church, and Woodside Bible Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and VBS. Edna enjoyed and was always willing to take small road trips and would do anything that involved her family. A private burial will be in Carelton, MI with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
