Dorothy Mckerracher

Dorothy Mae McKerracher was born on May 11, 1924 to Howard and Edna Davidson. She passed away on February 13, 2022 in the care of Hospice, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Glen Leigh (d.1999) and her dear sister Ruth Regan (d.2021). Dorothy was the loving mother of Gail Lee Farone (the late Joe) and Howard Leigh (Colleen). She was blessed with grandchildren Beth Bugnell (Mark), Amy Lee Bower (Eric) and Jeffery Leigh McKerracher (Kyla Konte). She is also survived by nephew Greg Regan (Gerri). Great grandchildren Brittney, Reagan, Davis Leigh and Leah brought new loved ones to knit and crochet for! They were the light of her life. Hobbies included numerous needlework projects, embroidery, cross-stitch, knitting, crocheting, quilting and ceramics. There are numerous afghans and quilts which we treasure. Mom gave unconditional love and support to all those who knew and loved her. Due to Covid we ask that you wear a mask and social distance when we gather to honor and remember Dorothy. Visitation will be at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Monday, February 21, 2022 from 3-8 PM. A private family burial will take place on February 22, 2022.
