Dorothy Krzyaniak

Dorothy Krzyaniak, 90, of Westland, Michigan, formerly of Detroit, died peacefully on June 10 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia. Born April 29, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Anthony and Anna (Micunek) Rake. Both deceased. A loving mother and homemaker, Dorothy was a great cook, enjoyed watching “old” movies, Bingo, the casino, and going out to dinner. Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Harry N. Krzyaniak. She is also predeceased by two sisters May R. Czubko and Joann B. Rachwal. Dorothy is survived by her son Daniel Krzyaniak and his wife Diane, daughter Deborah Wajda and her late husband Danny, Lisa Calbus and her husband Mark, and son Douglas Krzyaniak and his wife Lesa. She is survived by six grandchildren Matthew Krzyaniak, Nathan Krzyaniak, Dustin Calbus, Amanda (Krzyaniak) Canada, Alyssa Krzyaniak, and Devin Calbus. Dorothy is also survived by five great grandchildren Cody Cagle, Arnold Krzyaniak, Genevieve Canada, Bruce Krzyaniak, and Joshua Canada. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11 AM and visitation will be on Thursday at 4:00-9:00 PM.
