Dorothy Alice Bernier

Dorothy Bernier, passed away on September 23, 2018. Beloved wife of Joseph Norman Bernier, for 60 years. Loving mother of Nelson Bernier, Rochelle Bernier, and Victor Bernier. Dear grandmother of Cheyenne (John) Lutchko, Shelley (David) Szuran, Joey Bernier and Kayla Bernier. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Scott Bernier. She spent her life sewing, which was her occupation in the automotive industry. She had some college in design school. Dorothy volunteered for Warm Hearts, sewing diaper bags for less fortunate pregnant women. She loved to dance and enjoyed musicals. A Memorial Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 30, 2018, from 1pm until 9pm at the RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City. Her Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 11am (gathering starting at 10am) at Timothy Lutheran Church, 8820 Wayne Rd., Livonia, MI 48150. A potluck lunch will follow the service in the lower level of the church.
