Dorolene F. (Smith) Fleissner

Dorolene F. (Smith) Fleissner, 87, of Garden City, MI, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014. She had been at Ganton's Countryside Rehab in Jackson Michigan since February. Dorolene was born in Hamilton Missouri on April 19, 1927, moved to Michigan in the late 30's and graduated from Fordson High of Dearborn. Dorolene retired from The Albrecht Companies, where she worked for over 19 years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, collecting dolls and working crossword puzzle books. Dorolene is survived by, daughter Dale Ann (Fleissner) Tyrrell, son, Richard G. Fleissner (Marsha Werth), daughter, Denise L. (Fleissner) MacMaster, son Paul D. Fleissner (Debi Latimer). (11) Grandchildren, Michael Tyrrell, Joseph (Jeanne) Tyrrell, Jennifer Connell, Jason (Heather) Fleissner, Ryan Fleissner, Sara (Gerald) Gauss, Nicholas Fleissner, Brandy (Scott) Brighton, Jeff (Kelly) Hearon, Tim (Tiffany) Page, Kelly Fleissner, (8) Great-grandchildren, Brittany, Kiara, Jamie Lee, Beckett, Morgan, Josh, Ava and Addison as well as other family and friends. Dorolene is preceded in death by her father and mother Carl and Josephine (Mayes) Smith and sister Betty Jean Smith. The Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St Paul American Lutheran Church, 21915 Beech Street, Dearborn, MI 48124, and Pastor Colleen K. Nieman will be officiating. A luncheon in the church basement will follow until 3:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements are being handled by R. G.& G. R. Harris Funeral Home, Garden City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to American Diabetes Foundation; American Cancer Society; ASCPA; or a charity of your choice. The family of Dorolene F.
