Dolores R. Urban

Dolores Rita Urban Of Livonia, Michigan, passed away on January 2, 2017 with her beloved life long inseparable sole mate of 68 years, Peter Edward Urban at her side. Their unwavering love story and devotion began as high school sweethearts at St. Vincent DePaul in Detroit and also share the same birth dates a year apart. Dolores is preceded in death by eldest son Douglas Urban, brothers Vincent, Edward, Joseph and Larry Dornoff and Sister's Lucille, Margret St. Clair and Mary Steiner. Dolores is survived by Son's Ronald Urban, Atlanta, GA, Dennis (Sera) Urban, Dearborn MI. Surviving Sister Bernadette Rybski and Brother Donald Dornoff. Dolores lived, breathed and adorned god's creations around her. No matter the moment or the turmoil's of the world, she could be mesmerized by the simplest to the most spectacular of sunrises and sunsets, to gazing at a full moon on a clear star filled night. Roses, Roses, Roses. Dolores loved her roses. Spending significant time in her gardens outside the house, she was always awed by the beauty of "all things green", especially with a beautiful bloom of color at the end of a stem, no matter the species. She also spent many years creating beautiful home craft items for her home, friends and family. After their retirement, Dolores and her life companion Edward enjoyed years of refinishing furniture including earlier generation heirlooms. Dolores and Ed, lovers of laughter and clowns that they are, were frequently and fondly referred to as the half hazards carpenters, Ralph and Alf of the old TV show Green Acres. Friends and family will cherish memories of her great laughter and sense of humor. A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Wednesday, January 4th from 1 until 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. She will be instate at St. Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Thursday from 9 until her Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Angela Hospice.
