Desmond Ray Johansen

Desmond Ray Johansen, 47, passed unexpectedly at his home in Garden City August 12, 2022. The son of Jack Johansen (died 9/1/2018) and Anne (née Coe) Johansen. Desmond was a graduate of WMHS class of 1992 then joined the USAF as a low voltage electrician. He joined the IBEW and has been in the union for 20 years. He is survived by his mother, Anne Johansen; his sister, Dawn Johansen; brother-in-law, Jayson Hanna; the love of his life, Stephanie Duhl; two stepchildren, Brenna (17) and Galen (15), and his son Dillon (8). He passionately loved his family and friends, scuba diving and traveling, and the pursuit of his black belt with his Detroit Jiu Jitsu family. Visitation will be held at the RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Road, Garden City, Michigan, 48135 on Sunday 12 - 4 pm.
