Delorise Harris

Born October 11, 1930 in Dyersburg, Tennesse, Delorise Harris of Garden City, Michigan, passed from this life to be with her Savior April 2, 2018 in Dearborn, Michigan. She is survived by husband Brown Harris, with whom she lived as beloved and constant companion for more than 70 years. As a loving mother and devoted homemaker, she reared three sons by whom she is also survived, Bruce (and wife Lisa), Robert, and Dwayne (and wife Dawn). She also leaves behind grandchildren Bobby, Cody, Bethany, Jordyn and Kaitlyn, great grandchildren Justin and Gabrielle, brothers Edward Bruce and Carl Bruce, both of Tennessee, sister Doris Kidd also of Tennessee, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Ollie and Sarah Thompson Bruce, and brothers Wilson Hilliard, W. H. Bruce, Barton Bruce, Ralph Bruce and Eugene Bruce. A faithful member of the church of Christ in Garden City, Michigan since the 1950’s, Delorise was a cherished friend to all who knew her well. Her good deeds were never publicized but she was generous and helpful to all who stood in need. She will be greatly missed, but in precious memories she will abide to comfort those who mourn her departure. Delorise will lie in state at Harris Funeral Home in Garden City, Michigan where friends may visit with the family Friday, April 6 from 2pm – 9pm. Funeral Services will be held in her honor at the Garden City Church of Christ, 1657 Middlebelt Road Saturday, April 7 at 11am with a brief visitation before the funeral beginning at 10am https://www.tributeslides.com/tributes/show/HSJ8DPDKTH8BN45J
