David Grace, age 78, a longtime resident of Livonia MI, passed away on June 9th, 2023.

David was born on August 16th, 1944, in Coatbridge Scotland to James Grace and Mary (McMillan) Grace.

David immigrated to the United States in 1966, where he met his longtime future bride at the airport. David was an expert Welder where he practiced his trade for his whole career. He was a proud member of the Boilermakers Union #169. He served faithfully in various roles until his retirement in 1999. David enjoyed Golf, Darts, Concerts, Tiger Baseball, Hockey, cheering his beloved Celtic Football Club and the occasional visits to the local pubs. He especially enjoyed his family and his many friends.

David is survived by his daughter Michelle (Tim) Takesue of Geneva, IL, son Derik Grace of Livonia, MI. Granddaughter Olivia Takesue of Geneva IL.  sister Agnes Cassidy of Coatbridge Scotland, brother James (Maria) Grace of Wengen, Germany, sister May Malburg of Waterford MI, brother John (Cathy) Grace of Cumbernauld Scotland and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Mary Ellen Grace of over 44 years (02/2013) his son Sean Grace (01/2010), his Granddaughter Shaylin Takesue (05/2023) his brother William Grace (1985), his brother Bernard Grace (2011), and his sister and brother-in-law Sadie (Kevin) Brown (2019 and 2018)

A Celebration of his Life will be held for David at the AOH (Ancient order of Hibernians) in Redford, MI on Saturday July 8th, 2023, from 2:00 pm – 6:00pm, 25300 Five Mile Road, Redford Charter Twp., MI 48239

Burial will be held privately.
