Daniel Lee Crouson

Daniel L. Crouson July 15, 1964 - June 21, 2023 Daniel L. Crouson, 58, of Westland entered eternal rest on June 21, 2023. He was born on July 15, 1964 to the late Cecil Crouson and the late Sonia House Crouson Davidson. He was raised in Garden City on what was lovingly known for more than 60 years as Crouson Corner. Dan was a beloved son, brother, uncle and great uncle who had a delightful sense of humor. It was rare to have been in his company and not find that laughter was the language he spoke freely. Dan desired to be returned without sadness to the nature he so dearly loved. His many critters of every genre will, no doubt, welcome him. A private celebration of his storied life will be held by his family at a later date. Dan was a long time resident of Westland and employee of Michigan Dairy in Livonia where he was affectionately known as "Bat". He will be deeply missed by his colleagues as he always had some tidbit of humor or mischief to share. Dan often reminisced about his childhood memories, most particularly the summer of 1982 which he spent in the Keeweenaw Peninsula with his best friend and partner in mayhem, younger brother Dennis, hosted by his sister Jan and Chuck Gustafson. Daniel leaves to cherish his memory, much too soon, his siblings Janice Gustafson McEwen (Kenneth), Kathryn Burke (Dr. Edward), Terry Crouson (Kristine), Clyde "Al" Crouson (Sharon), Lori O'Brady and Dennis Crouson (Cindy). He also leaves a step brother Dennis Davidson (Jennifer). Dan was the adored uncle of Dr. Colleen (Dr. Stephen) Verb, Jillian Crouson -Toth, Michael Burke (Karina), Charles Crouson, Kyle O'Brady, Kevin (Erin) Crouson, Kellyn Chapman ( Charles), Keegan O'Brady, Timothy Crouson, Nicholas Crouson, Emily Watson (Dr. Adam), Jayson Crouson, Timothy McEwen (Amy), Keith McEwen (Dee Ann) and Jeffrey McEwen (Ginger). Daniel was treasured great uncle to Bailey Crouson, Kamryn Toth, Siobhàn Verb, Makayla Crouson, Ethan Verb, Margaret Verb, Colin Verb, Wyatt Verb, Thomas Verb, Elias Chapman, Jackson Burke, Grant McEwen (Haidyn), Samuel McEwen, Scott McEwen, Myles McEwen and Seth McEwen. Daniel was preceded to eternity by his parents Cecil and Sonia Crouson, sister Mary Dale, stepfather Finis Davidson and brother in law Charles Gustafson. A memorial stone will be laid in Newbern, Tennessee to honor and memorialize Dan in the resting place of his parents, all of his grandparents, sister and several other family members of multiple generations.
