Daniel Raymond Bloom

Daniel Raymond Bloom, 76, of Detroit, passed away on May 18, 2020 in Garden City, Michigan. Dan was born to Vera and Marvin on June 10, 1943. Dan shared a full, wonderful life of love with his wife Nancy and their children Joe, Don and Tena, and found great joy and delight in his 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Dan has a brother, Mike (Debbie) and sisters, Arlene, Sharon (Joe) and Elaine. He was preceded in death by both his brother, Marvin and son, Bryan. Dan had a varied work career starting in the automotive industry at Ford Motor Company in Michigan. After moving to California, Dan worked in heating and cooling. In Texas, the handyman in Dan really blossomed. Upon returning to Michigan in the late '80s, Dan found a second career in the bicycle business. He spent many years at Livonia Schwinn Bicycle and Fitness Center, D & D and Jack's Bike Shop. Dan was always up for adventure and had several hobbies that he loved. He enjoyed long car rides, animals (dogs and birds especially) and being around family and friends. Dan was a proud San Francisco 49ers fan and he was thrilled to see his team in the Superbowl in 2020. He also loved geocaching. It allowed him to get outside, take peaceful walks and explore new places. As per Dan's wishes, no public memorial will take place. Please share a memory of Daniel on his Tribute Wall.
