Cornell Grosan, age 88, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2022. Cornell was born on August 21, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to Michael and Hermina Grosan. Cornell had four sisters, Hermina, Helen, Florence and his twin sister, Connie. After graduating from Henry Ford Trade School he immediately began working at Ford Motor Company as a Designer/Draftsman. Cornell also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Washington D.C. for approximately one year. Cornell married Carol (Peterson) on April 6, 1962 and was a loving father to three children. He enjoyed spending time in his “workroom” where he made numerous things for his family through the years and could fix just about anything. He also enjoyed traveling to Florida with his wife during the long Michigan winters. Cornell was a faithful servant to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was involved in many church activities. In his later years, he visited numerous nursing homes on a monthly basis to lead “Sing-Alongs” with residents. Cornell is survived by his wife of 59 years Carol Grosan, his three children Linda (Mike) Stone, David (Susan) Grosan, Debbie (Alex) McLuckie, seven grandchildren Naya, Jake, Olivia, Claire, Sophia, Evan & Meghan, his twin sister Connie Gore, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Ward Church, 40000 Six Mile Rd, Northville, MI, in the chapel beginning at 9:30am with the funeral service immediately following at 11am. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Romanian Missionary Society or Ward Church. Please share a memory of Cornell.
