Clyde Allen Crouson

Al (Clyde Allen) Crouson September 30, 1957- September 5, 2023 Al Crouson, 65, of Livonia took his final bow and left this stage we call Earth on September 5, 2023. He made his debut on September 30, 1957 to the late Cecil Crouson and the late Sonia House Crouson Davidson. Al was a gifted performer in theater, musicals, choir, forensic debate, and guitar. He was an avid Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverine fan. Al reminisced with great fondness of the years he spent in the bands Windsong and Reprise with his big brother and best friend, Terry. Together they were magical in their harmonies. Al was the star of the show to his leading lady, Sharon K. Burnett for 27 years. Throughout their love story always called her "My Sharon". He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend. He was a quick witted, lion hearted and generous man who will be deeply missed. Al leaves a cast of supporting siblings Janice Gustafson McEwen (Kenneth), Kathryn Burke (Dr. Edward), Terry Crouson (Kristine), Lori O'Brady and Dennis Crouson (Cindy). Al delighted in his role of uncle to Dr. Colleen (Dr. Stephen) Verb, Jillian Crouson -Toth, Michael Burke (Karina), Charles Crouson, Kyle O'Brady, Kevin (Erin) Crouson, Kellyn Chapman (Charles), Keegan O'Brady, Timothy Crouson, Nicholas Crouson, Emily Watson (Dr. Adam), Jayson Crouson, Timothy McEwen (Amy), Keith McEwen (Dee Ann) and Jeffrey McEwen (Ginger). Al accepted with joy the award for great uncle to Bailey Crouson, Kamryn Toth, Siobhàn Verb, Makayla Crouson, Ethan Verb, Margaret Verb, Colin Verb, Wyatt Verb, Thomas Verb, Elias Chapman, Jackson Burke, Grant McEwen (Haidyn), Samuel McEwen, Scott McEwen, Myles McEwen and Seth McEwen. He was an admired friend, mentor and unconditional supporter of Steven Burnett and Korri Burnett. Al was preceded to eternity by his parents Cecil and Sonia Crouson, sister Mary Dale, brother Daniel, stepfather Finis Davidson and brother in law Charles Gustafson and his canine companion, Maggie. A celebration of Life Service is being planned for Saturday, September 30 on what would have been Al's 66th birthday. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Merriman Road Baptist Church, 2055 Merriman Road, Garden City on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM. The Service will be officiated by Al's Nephew, Pastor Kevin Crouson. A memorial stone will be laid in Newbern, Tennessee to honor and memorialize Al in the resting place of his parents, all of his grandparents, sister and several other family members of multiple generations.
