C. Daniel Piercecchi Of Livonia, Age 88, passed away Palm Sunday, March 24, 2015. He was born August 17, 1926 in Calumet, Michigan. On September 3, 1949 he married Hulda Veach. They celebrated 65 years. He served in the Army in Korea during WW II. Dan received a Chemistry Degree from University of Detroit in 1951. Dan resided in Livonia since 1963. He is the father of Janet Piercecchi Kidd (Frank) of Milford, Michigan, Mark (Elizabeth) Piercecchi of Owasso, Michigan, four grandchildren; Matt Kidd, Nathan and Adam Piercecchi and the late Mark Kidd, CPL, Marine Corp. Dan loved his country and served this nation with pride. During his time in Livonia, Dan was a member in Good Standing of the Eleventh Congressional District Republican Committee. Dan has been involved in politics since the 1950's, was elected to Inkster City Council. He was later appointed to the Livonia Planning Commission. Dan was instrumental in the success of Republican candidates throughout the State of Michigan and nationally. Dan made politics his passion and devotion. He served his country with honor. He came to know his Savior Jesus Christ. A Visitation will be held at Oakland Hills Community church, 37150 West Eight Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, Thursday from 10 a.m. until his Funeral Service at 11 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Military Families United.
