Brooks Cunningham

Brooks L. Cunningham, born on July 21, 1955, passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 69.

Brooks lived a life enriched by simple pleasures and meaningful connections. He was a devoted father, brother, and friend who shared warmth and laughter with all who knew him. A passionate motorcycle enthusiast and avid card player, Brooks also enjoyed spending time in his shop, where he found both solace and creativity. Some of his most treasured memories were made fishing with his sons on the Great Lakes and hunting in the serene woods of northern Michigan. A lifelong sports fan, he remained a steadfast supporter of the Detroit Tigers and Lions.

He is survived by his son Chad Cunningham; his sisters Nellie Howard and Penny Greiner (Michael); his brother James Thrun; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Brooks was preceded in death by his beloved son Jaime Cunningham; his parents Helen F. Bass and Brooks L. Cunningham; his siblings Max Cunningham (Melissa), Jerilyn Sharp, and Jan Heyman; and Ruth Cunningham, the mother of his sons.

Brooks will be remembered for his unwavering sense of humor and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who shared in his journey.

May he rest in eternal peace and may those who mourn him find solace in their cherished memories of a life well-lived.

A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd, Garden City,48135 on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 3:00 PM - 8:00PM.
