Bret Young

Bret Young, age 59, passed away June 22, 2022. Always the life of every party and loved by everyone he met. Dedicated patriot and proud army vet. He loved his country and his family more anything. He enjoyed serving even after the military by hitting the road making deliveries in his semi. In his free time he was always outside with a fire and a miller highlife or exploring the trails with his wife. His smile was contagious and his laugh would fill the room. Beloved husband, for 40 years, of Dawn Young. Loving father of Bret (Michaela) Young Jr. and Christina (Keith) Ziobron. Brother of Thomas (Gina) Young. Brother-in-law of Kelly Falk and Robert (Elizabeth) Carbray. Son-in-law of William (Sharon) Carbray. Grandfather of Breyden, Kaylyn, and Baylee. Uncle of Kiley and Jolene Falk, Amanda (Carbray) Johnson, Stephen and Patrick Young and Robert Carbray Jr. Nephew of Gloria Grube, Betty (Bill) Nogle, and Dick Young. He was preceded in death by his father Delbert (Jack) Young, mother Joan Tolpa-Young, brothers Robert and Dennis, and the best mother in law he could've asked for, Marge Nussbaum. Bret's best advice was always "if you see someone without a smile, give them yours. A Visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia on July 2, 2022, Saturday, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
