Bernard T. McDermott of Livonia, Age 89, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Loving husband of the late Sheila (Domine). Dearest father of Audrey (Nick) Matacchieri, Matthew and Benjamin (Patty). Grandfather of Amanda, Sarah, Kate, Andrew, Ian, Michael, Alexandra, Shannon and Nicholas. Brother of Catherine Danko, Donald (Helen), Robert (Virginia) and the late Margaret, Mary, Joseph, Edward, Gerald and William. He served our country in the Army, during WWII, in the Aleutians, China, Burma, and India. Former Detroit Public School teacher and administrator. After retirement, he worked as a librarian for Henry Ford Community College. Funeral Mass 10 AM Monday (instate 9:30 am) at St. Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Visitation Sat. 4-8 and Sun. 12-6 PM at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Rosary Service Sunday 6:00 PM.
