Anthony John Cerrito Sr. Age 88, Formerly of Fraser MI and North Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 9th, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born in Thornton MS, on December 13th 1922. He graduated from Henry Ford Trade School in 1941. He bravely served as a Gunnery Sergeant with the 86th Division 3rd Battalion,(Blackhawks) in both the European and Pacific Theaters of World War II. He worked as a Manager for Camdale Precision Tool Corp. in Roseville MI, for over 25 years. He retired to Myrtle Beach in 1986 where he was employed as Head Starter at The Long Bay Country Club for almost 20 years. His beloved parents, Giovani and Rosaria Avara-Cerrito, his brothers Samuel and John Cerrito and his two sisters, Jennie Cerrito and Mary Walzack, preceded him in death. Tony had a lifetime love of golf and was the proud achiever of two holes in one. He was a crossword puzzle maven. He was a friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his most precious possessions, his loving, devoted wife of 54 years, Gilda Webb-Cerrito, his sons Anthony Jr., his wife, Melissa. Michael, and Steven Cerrito; and his daughter Gina and her husband Dr. David Clinthorne. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Graham Clinthorne, his wife Megan and their unborn child Charlotte, due in May, Evan Clinthorne, Michael Cerrito Jr., Casey Cerrito and granddaughter Cara. A daughter also survives Tony from his previous marriage, Rosalind. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the R.G. & G.R.
