Andrew Victor Comstock, age 16, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2021. He was the son of Brett and Pam Comstock, youngest brother to Grace, Gabe, Luke, and Caleb, and brother of the heart to Hanna Aburouman. Born in Superior Township, Michigan, on December 21, 2004, Andrew lived all his life at his family home in Canton. Andrew was known for his friendliness, his great hugs, his smile, and his passion for Christ. He readily saw God in both creation and people, and embodied God's gift of creativity, which he exercised through both music and art. Andrew had a unique perspective that saw and appreciated details others often overlooked, making him an especially thoughtful friend and insightful artist. He was self taught in digital art and animation and had dreams of choreographing a light saber battle with his brother Gabe, song writing with his brother Caleb, and story boarding short films with his dad. When he wasn't hanging out with his friends or working on his creative projects, Andrew was either helping a friend with his lawn care business, playing D & D with his friends, or playing soccer. He cherished opportunities for family vacations at the cottage in Canada, or the mountains of Washington, or anywhere he could swim or hike, innertube, ski, or wakeboard. He also enjoyed going with his "brother from another mother" on their family vacations. Andrew was part of the COVE home school co-op in Redford, Michigan, and loved all his COVE friends dearly. He was an integral part of his church youth group at Calvary Baptist Church in Canton, Michigan, and loved playing piano and keyboards in the worship band. Some of his favorite things to do with his close circle of friends were hanging out around a campfire, playing spikeball, and watching anime. A great way to get to know Andrew would be checking out his Spotify playlists, which he spent hours meticulously designing (user name: Andrew Comstock. Profile pic of him standing in front of trees and mountains). Andrew recognized the worth of each person, because he clearly understood that everyone is made in the image of God and has a unique spark inside them. He would want each person reading this to know how special and valuable they are. His departure highlights how each of our lives touches so many others in significant ways. Andrew was a light to all who knew him and will be sorely missed by his immediate family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his numerous friends. Andrew's visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home in Livonia, Michigan on Saturday, January 23 from 1-8 pm, and his funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 24 at 4:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Canton, Michigan. Please share a memory of Andrew on his Tribute Wall.
