Allan C. Foord

Allan C. Foord, age 93. A Garden City resident for 64 years, passed away in Livonia while under hospice care. Beloved husband of Esther Foord, step-father of Robert Dodd, father of Lawrence Foord, Linda Simonyi, Carol Eliel (William), and Laura Savale (John). Grandfather of Michael Eliel, Tony Spinazzola, Michael Spinazzola, and Alecia Savale. Great grandfather to Francesca Spinazzola. Pre-deceased by close family William Eliel Jr., Jacob Savale and Ronald Dodd. Mr. Foord loved and served his country; first in the U.S. Army, followed by a career in the Army Civilian Service. He will be missed by his loving family, and by many friends with whom he shared a love for playing chess. A funeral service will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Road, Garden City, Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 3 PM. Visitation will be held Wednesday 11:30 AM - 3 PM. Please share a memory.
