Alice Joyce Thies

Alice Thies, age 71, of Hazard, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at U of L Health Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Alice was a United States Air Force Veteran. She was a member of Freewill Baptist. She enjoyed her many talks with family and friends. She was the daughter of the late James B. Cole and Suse "Sue" Eversole Cole. She is also preceded in death by her Twin Sons: Kirk James and Keith William Thies; One Sister: Salley Ann Cole and One Great Nephew: James Lee Baltes. She leaves surviving One Sister: Pearl Baltes (Larry), Fenton, MI; Special Brother & Double First Cousin: Darrell "Frog" Cole, Hazard, KY; Special Sister & Double First Cousin: Carol Melton (Elmer Darrell) of Hazard, KY; Special Caretakes: R.J. Eversole & Hulda Lewis; Nephews: Vaughn Sexton, Steven Baltes, James Baltes & Joshua Cole (Jessica); Niece: Madison Herrington; Great Niece: Kaylee Baltes; Great Nephews: Kevin Baltes, Devin Baltes & Asher Cole; Special Family: James Darrell Cole (Jennifer), Amy Caldwell (Tim) & Angela Foster as well as A Host of Family & Friends. Graveside Service will be held at the Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, MI Wednesday December 20, 2023 at 2:15pm
