Alex Mierzejewski

Alex Mierzejewski of Farmington Hills, age 73, passed away on Sunday, Aprl 6, 2025. Beloved Husband and best friend of Karen Coogan. Beloved Brother of Linda (Rich) Kerns, Cindy (Gary) Wisniewski, and Stosh and Joe Mierzejewski. He is survived by Sisters-in-laws and Brothers-in-law who will miss him dearly. He was a beloved Uncle to many Nephews, Nieces, Great Nephews and Great Nieces.

Born in Hamtramck, Michigan, He served in the U.S. Navy and worked in telecommunications for 35 plus years beginning his career with Michigan Bell through the company changes that is now AT&T.

Alex was a man who pursued many interests in life and can count as achievements recording royalities as a Musician, Eagle and Hole in One as a Golfer, a perfect 300 game as a Bowler and Gold Medals as an avid Aviation Modeler. Alex was a 12 year member of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society and served as Treasurer, Vice President and President of the Livonia chapter.

To all who loved and admired him, be consoled that Jesus said “Come to Me, All you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.

A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 12 Noon until his Sharing Service at 4:00 PM.
